"Free to be, Come and see"

"Gems for Him"

Spring, the Easter Season

This first day of Spring I gaze out my window, hoping to find a "visible" sign of new life!

Through the still leafless trees I see a cross, yes a cross! Painted bright red, its stands out vividly against the stark "lifeless" backdrop of the trees. The cross stirs my heart and my thoughts center on Him, Jesus; How magnificent was (is) the gift of New Life through the blood of the Sacrificial Lamb, how unworthy we were (are) until His divine mercy was shown - His love demonstrated supremely on the cross!

"Yea, thee, My wandering sheep; Yea thee, My scarlet sinner so slow to weep, come to Me, for I will love thee, and I will keep thee. Nay, fix thy heart, thine eyes, thy hope upon My boundless sacrifice. Will I lose lightly even one so dear bought prize!?"

- Christina Rossetti (19th century English Poet)

A beautiful excerpt from a beautiful old poem. NO! He would not, I think lose any lightly at all. In fact, I am sure He weeps over the lost!
