Journaling during my quiet time with the Lord, I needed a phrase to relate "Who I am in Him". After jotting down this one and that and scribbling them out, I was in deep thought when in the margin I wrote "By His design". At that very moment my eyes were drawn to an old devotional book "Streams in the Dessert" and "June 1st" resonated in my spirit though it was only mid May. As I read, the tears trickled down - for an out-pouring of the Holy Spirit was taking place. The book's first printing was 1925, bu the message "O Hallelujah" was for such a time as this!
"I entreat you, this is a dangerous temptation of the adversary. Give no place to dispondency! Melancholy contracts and withers the heart and renders it unfit to receive the impressions of Grace. It magnifies and gives a false coloring to objects and thus renders your burdens too heavy to bear..."
(and here it is)
"...God's designs regarding you and His methods of bringing about these Designs are infinately wise." - Madame Guyon
"By His Design" makes it possible for a vessel of clay (that we are) to overflow with the Living Water.
"This is the rest with which you may cause the weary to rest," and "This is the refreshing" -Isaiah 28:12 NKJV
How Great and Awsome is our God!?
Let's give Him Praise!
