Our Trials are great opportunities, though all too often we look upon them as even greater obstacles!
We're too blinded by our own wills, wants, and ways to see that the Lord intends for our troubles to deepen our character - to make us more like Him.
Job was tried so that His godliness might be confirmed. Why are you being tried?
Let's look at Job:
His afflictions left him with a higher conception of God and lowlier thoughts of himself. In those wearisome days and nights God gave Job glimpses of future glory, and for that he could proclaim "...for I know that my redeemer liveth." (Job 19:25) KJV
Are you looking for those "glimpses" from God? Can you see the way through God to your glory? It's there... follow Him!
"So the Lord blessed the Latter end of Job more than the beginning" (Job 42:12) KJV
Through his troubles, Job came into his heritage provided for by God. God had to remove the first life to provide for the second. He does away with the old in order to bring the new!
There are blessings that we cannot obtain if we cannot first accept and endure (as a blessing) the suffering that sometimes comes.
Only through a steadfast faith in Him can we emerge as Victorious Souls - Dauntless and Unafraid!
I wonder, could we ever cry out as Job did? "Now, mine eyes seeth thee!" (Job 42:5) KJV
